Would you attempt to paddle across Lake Michigan? Although only a lake, Lake Michigan can rough currents, tides and waves and can feel more like an ocean to a small vessel. Still, a group of five men recently accomplished the task with paddleboards. They decided to cross the lake in a bid to raise money for Chicago-based Great Lakes environmental nonprofit.

It was physically and mentally demanding, not only the miles, waves and wind, but the cold just zaps the energy out of you,” said paddleboarder Kwin Morris.
