Donating blood is a great way to help your community and could potentially save someone’s life. Blood donations are necessary in order to keep blood on hand for accidents, transplants, transfusions and other medical emergencies and problems that could result in a lot of blood loss. If you want to help this holiday weekend, stop by the Michigan Blood Donation Center in Grand Rapids and donate some of your healthy blood to those in need.

Everyone who donates will get a free “I Love Michigan” T-shirt as well as a tote back and other products and coupons. Before you head out to watch the fireworks and enjoy a cookout with friends, think of others and take a few minutes to donate your blood.
