Boaters and beachgoers may want to avoid Lake Michigan this Thursday as large waves are expected due to heavy winds. Waves are likely to be between 12-20 feet high and wings could reach speeds at up to 60 mph. Waves may also be large on Wednesday night. Official are warning everyone to stay clear of piers as the conditions could make them dangerous.
