Grand Rapids police officer have started wearing  body cams. These cameras are now part of every officer uniforms and are meant to protect both officers and civilians. The small cameras are barely noticeable and will pick up the actions and conversations during an arrest or anytime an officer is pursuing a suspect.  Police departments around the country are either already wearing similar devices or preparing to make them part of the uniform.
