Most children enjoy summer and all of the fun and activities it offers. Children who are sick with cancer do not have the same opportunities to enjoy summer the way healthy children do. In fact, many of them suffer from depression because they are unable to participate in common summer activities Camp Sparkle in Grand Rapids wants to change that. It is offering summer camp packed with lots of activities, crafts and summer fun, with programs designed specifically for children with cancer or other serious illnesses.
Not only do these children have a chance to enjoy some common camp activities, they also get a chance to meet new friends and learn about other cultures all while healing in a safe place.
