The city of Grand Rapids is planning to construct a new pedestrian bridge that will cross the Mississippi River. The construction is planned for 2017. The new bridge will not only offer something unique for residents and visitors, but will also help improve the look of the area. It is expected to bring more people to the area and most people are looking forward to the completion of the project.
The bridge will also make the area safer and help make it easier for rescue crew to get to those in need of help. Instead of crossing the river itself, rescue crews can use the bridge. The project is still under negotiations but will soon begin.
