A Grand Rapids Public Museum Event

The great lakes regional debut of ‘The Discovery of King Tut’ will be in Grand Rapids on May 16th. Visitors will get to see and experience what it was like for Howard Carter and his team when they discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. There will be over 1,000 scientifically produced recreations hand-crafted by Egyptian artisans and will recreates the incredible wonder of the moment of first discovery. Considered to be the greatest find of the 20th century, visitors will get a glimpse into this famous discovery. It will be held at the Grand Rapids Public Museum from May 16th through September 1, 2015. Tickets will be on sale during the coming spring and Museum members will get a discounted admission. The Grand Rapids museum is one of the oldest history museums in the United States.
