Grand Rapids will be getting a new hotel, just outside the city. The Marriot is still in the planning process but would be a great asset to the area.

“Our location is a good location across from the mall and the shopping and the restaurants,” said Akram Namou, an owner of A&M Hospitality in Madison Heights. “It will be a complement to the surrounding businesses. This caters for a businessman, a shopper, a traveler. It’s a suite hotel so it caters for families also. The weekend business will come from the shoppers while the weekday business will come from the corporate (travelers).”
