Are you teeth sensitive to cold drinks, ice cream or things that are also very hot? Tooth sensitivity is a serious issue and although it may start out as an annoying and rare issue, it can become more of a problem over time and you may find that you are unable to enjoy many foods and drinks because of your sensitivity. There are treatment options and even toothpastes that can help with tooth sensitivity, but it is always best to see a dentist about the issue.
Tooth sensitivity usually occurs when you brush too hard and your gums recede and reveal the root of the tooth. The root is sensitive and that is why you get a zinging or shocking feeling when you eat or drink something hot or cold. If you are struggling with tooth sensitivity, talk to your dentist.
