A recent study shows that local anesthetics could affect the growth of children’s teeth. Many dentists prefer to use anesthesia to help them calm and control children while performing dental work. While this is a common practice, the new study shows that it could be causing more harm than good. The anesthesia could affect tooth cell growth and potentially impact upon tooth development.
