Thrush is an oral infection that can affect anyone. It is most commonly found in infants and the elderly. Although it has been around for years, it can be hard to treat. Researchers recently found a sneaky and surprising way to treating the infections.

“Many people who wear dentures, use inhalers or have been treated with antibiotics develop oral fungal infections, and this infection is very resistant to treatment with most available drugs,” says Edgerton, who has studied oral thrush for more than 20 years.
