For most people, dental appointments are a part of life and something that many don’t think twice about. Of course, you are probably thankful that you can afford dental care, but do you consider it a luxury? Would you trade your dental care for a different luxury service if you had to? In Australia, dental care is seen as a luxury, not a necessity and when times are hard, it is often the first thing people sacrifice.

According to dentists in Australia, many patients feel that dental care and certain procedures are not necessary and would rather use the money they spend on dental care for other luxuries, such as vacations, electronics and designer clothing. This is leading to more dental problems.
