Going to the dentist is something many people see as a part of life. Most have regular appointment and cleanings and understand that good oral hygiene is essential for a long lasting smile. Have you ever wondered how medieval humans kept their teeth healthy?

Studies show that ancient humans did practice dentistry and it is surprisingly not too different from some of the same practices and treatments used today. Of course, the tools and methods have improved, but it is a sign that modern humans were concerned about their teeth and did attempt to fix their dental problems.
