Missing teeth areusually a sign that a person has a history of inflammation. This may first be noticed in the gums and teeth may become loose and fall out. But tooth loss can be a sign of a more severe disease and could be a sign of heart trouble. Chronic inflammation in the gums can be related to inflammation throughout the entire body, including the heart.
Dentists warn that patients how have gum inflammation and tooth loss may be more likely to suffer from heart disease and cardiovascular problems. If you are missing teeth or if your teeth are loose and your gums inflamed, you may want to ask a doctor to check your heart as well.
