You already know that not brushing your teeth can lead to bad breath, tooth decay and gum disease, but if those reasons aren’t enough to make you add brushing to your daily routine, a recent study shows that not brushing can also lead to dementia. The same bacteria that cause gum disease can also cause cells within the body and brain to become damaged.
These damaged cells can result in heart disease and cause dementia and many other health problems. It can also make you look older. So the next time you run out the door in a hurry and forget to brush your teeth, think about the effects it could have on your body and your mind.
