Elderly dental patients are sometimes the most difficult to treat, but dentists say they are also the ones in need of the most care. Because so many of them did not have proper dental care at a young age, they may have severe tooth decay or other problems. Many also need dentures . While they can be difficult to treat due to medications and other issues, it is important that they have regular dental care.
