You may think that smoothies are a great way to stay healthy and get the nutrients you need. Many people drink smoothies for the health benefits, but they could be harming your teeth. If you are drinking too many smoothies, talk to your dentist to find out if you need to cut back.

“Every time you sip on a fruit smoothie your teeth are placed under attack for up to an hour,” says Dr. Nigel Carter, Chief Executive of the British Dental Health Foundation.
